Congressman proposes Constitutional Amendment to change the way of sharing the royalties

The Congressman Marcelo Castro filed on March 20th, a Proposal for Constitutional Amendment (PEC), benefiting the non-oil producing states, to include in the Constitution a more equal way of sharing the royalties. The proposal is an alternative in case the Federal Supreme Court (STF) dismisses the new law regarding the distribution of royalties, which was approved and temporarily suspended because of a decision of Minister Carmen Lucia, from the STF.
